SUNY Geneseo
Omni Elevator Corporation completed the removal and replacement of 2 elevators in Steuben and Allegany Halls in a total of 9 weeks. The two elevators, 1 basement traction and 1 hydraulic, were installed on time and under budget. The elevators were supplied by Delaware Elevator Corporation of Salisbury, Maryland.
The Project Manager was Wu and Associates of New Jersey. The SUNY Geneseo project was the first in which all three of our companies had worked together. After the final acceptance by the Dormitory Authority of New York, all parties involved were very pleased with the end result.
The Water Tower Park
Omni Elevators replaced a three-stop hydraulic with a 4 stop dual stage hydraulic elevator to accommodate the expansion of tenant utilized space. We also removed an old winding drum freight elevator installed in 1908 and replaced it with a modern 8000 pound capacity traction elevator.
This elevator boasts 8 feet high by 5 feet wide doors and 630 cubic feet of space. In addition to these two projects, Omni Elevators also Installed New Motors, Drives and Brakes on two existing Freight Elevators in order to meet the new demands placed upon them. Owned by Rochester Colonial Manufacturing, the Watre Park houses various Monroe County offices and one of the Rochester Police Department stations.
Syracuse, Here We Come!
We have expanded into Syracuse, having been awarded municipal maintenance contracts by the City of Syracuse.
Blossom Business Center
At the Blossom Business Center in Rochester, NY, we are rebuilding a vintage 1920’s Graves elevator machine that was made in Rochester.
The Alexandrian
We installed one new hydraulic traction elevator and completely modernized a 1930’s Warsaw traction elevator at the Alexandrian Apartments.
